Brooklyn Horror Film Festival

“The new kid on the block in New York City, the Brooklyn Horror Film Festival has proven itself a force to be reckoned with since arriving on the scene in 2016,” according to one panelist. Director Justin Timms and company have done so via an eclectic lineup that balances conspicuous titles with smaller films in need of discovery. “With phenomenal programming and a lively audience, the team behind BHFF shows a genuine understanding of what genre fans in the Big Apple want from a festival,” adds the panelist. Last year’s edition featured Joe Lynch’s crowd-pleasing Mayhem and a clutch of new Latin American chillers, screened at a range of popular local venues like the Nitehawk Cinema and Videology.
