Directed and co-written by John McNaughton, Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer disturbed audiences not just for its violence, but because of its bold, cold decision to present its murderous subject with neutrality.
Michael Rooker doesn’t bother trying to win our sympathy for Henry, who was based on actual killers. He later went on to play the considerably more likable Yondu the Guardians of the Galaxy films.
