The Human Centipede (2009)

Bounty Films

You knew this was coming, right? This sickening provocation by Dutch director Tom Six is most upsetting because… it’s very well-made.

You really can’t fault the cinematography, pacing, acting, or anything else — except for the entire concept.

If you somehow missed all the disgust when it was released in 2009, The Human Centipede is about a mad scientist (Dieter Laser) who kidnaps two young women (Ashlynn Yennie and Ashley C. Williams, above) and one man (Akihiro Kitamura) and… connects them to each other. In the worst way imaginable.

Six quickly cashed in on the notoriety of the film by making two followup horror movies, trying to outgross himself each time.
