Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (Dec. 20)

J.J. Abrams joins Christopher Nolan, Quentin Tarantino, Martin Scorsese, Paul Thomas Anderson and James Gray in his love of film. Interestingly enough, Rian Johnson shot The Last Jedi on a mix of film and digital. For Solo: A Star Wars Story, Bradford Young used his trademark low-light cinematography, shot digitally on the Alexa 65. The film sparked debate about the state of theater projectors and their bulbs.
