The Lodge (Feb. 7)
Severin Fiala and Veronika Franz make punishing horror films, and 35mm allows the moviemaking pair to contrast The Lodge‘s vast snowy exteriors with the dark claustrophobic interiors of an eerie cabin. Fiala and Franz love to play mind games with their audiences, and at its Sundance premiere last winter, The Lodge kept everyone guessing as to who exactly is going crazy in this “cabin fever” religious nightmare.
