Similar to Spotlight, The Post follows the true events of a famous newspaper. Set in 1971, the film follows the true story of journalists at The Washington Post and their attempts to publish the Pentagon Papers, a set of classified documents detailing the U.S. government’s involvement in the Vietnam War and the French Indochina war.
