The PAGE International Screenwriting Awards are adept at finding undiscovered writing talent to propel to dizzying heights.

It offers 31 awards to writers including a $25,000 Grand Prize along with Gold, Silver, and Bronze gongs in 10 genre categories. Feature scripts can enter the following genres: Action/Adventure, Comedy, Drama, Family Film, Historical, Science Fiction, or Thriller/Horror. TV scripts can be either dramatic or comedic. Shorts can be of any genre.

Scripts are judged by working industry professionals, all of whom have years of experience evaluating and developing scripts for major studios, agencies, management firms, and production companies. They are assigned entries based on their personal interests and expertise so each screenplay is evaluated by someone who knows and loves the genre.

Over the past 15 years, 163 scripts have been optioned, 156 writers have been signed and 116 projects have been produced. Not a bad tally.

DEADLINES: January to April
FEES: $45-$75 with a $5 discount for a short film script entry. Additional fees gain judges feedback or entry to different genres

PRIZES: Winning writers will receive over $50,000 in cash and prizes including a $25,000 Grand Prize
