The Hateful Eight 

Quentin Tarantino usually prefers not to have composers write original scores for his films. Instead, he usually picks and chooses certain themes.

But seeing as how he was already using Morricone’s iconic themes in films like Kill Bill and Django: Unchained, it makes sense that he make an exception for The Hateful Eight.

As the first composer to write an original theme for Tarantino, Morricone won his first and only Oscar.
