As Antonio Fargas says in the movie, Foxy Brown is “a whole lotta woman.” In this 1974 Blaxploitation film, Pam Grier plays a strong woman seeking vigilante justice after he undercover cop boyfriend is killed by gangsters.
Pretending to be a sex worker and wielding a tiny but powerful pistol, Foxy tracks down all of the people responsible for her boyfriend’s death — including her brother, Link, played by Fargas.
In a similar role also directed by Jack Hill, Grier also starred in Coffy as another vigilante hero seeking justice from the heroine addicts who got her sister hooked on dope. Grier also starred in Hill’s other films The Big Doll House and The Bird Cage.
