The Tongue Trap Scene in Spiral (2021)
In the opening scene of Spiral, the newest movie in the Saw franchise, crooked detective Marv Bozwick (Dan Petronijevic) finds himself in a trap designed to punish him for his lying tongue. Hung by a vice attached to his tongue, he’s positioned directly in the path of an oncoming train.
The only way to free himself and get out of the train’s way is to jump down from the box and rip out his tongue. He waits too long to make his choice and ends up losing both his life and his tongue. One of the most unsettling and creepy horror movie scenes.
