The Bisection Scene in Bone Tomahawk (2015)
S. Craig Zahler’s 2015 horror Western stars Kurt Russell as a sheriff, Richard Jenkins as his deputy, Matthew Fox as a gunslinger, and Patrick Wilson as a cowboy who commit themselves to the dangerous mission of rescuing three people from a group of inbred, cannibalistic cave dwellers.
When they find themselves caught and imprisoned by these terrifying folk, Russell and Jenkins’ characters watch in horror as one of their men is pulled from his cell, stripped naked, and scalped. While he’s still alive, his scalp is then nailed to the inside of his mouth, muffling his screams as he is violently bisected with a tomahawk to the crotch.
