The Father Figure
So who could the mysterious father figure mentioned in the note be? The docuseries suggests that one possibility is Kerry Hendrix, an older man whose son Jennifer used to babysit. Jennifer’s high school friends say in the doc that Hendrix gave them alcohol when they were underage. In the early 1990s, Hendrix was convicted of attempting to abduct a college girl, the docuseries states.
But when the Burden of Proof film team interviewed Hendrix, he denied having anything to do with Jennifer Pandos’ disappearance, and said that the attempted kidnapping was mischaracterized and that he was actually just trying to rob someone to fund his drug habit.
