The Parents
At the start of the docuseries, Stephen Pandos was convinced that his father, Ron Pandos, accidentally killed Jennifer in an argument and threatened Margie to convince her to help him cover it up. Stephen was adamant that his mother must have written the note because a handwriting examination ruled out his father but came back inconclusive for his mother.
Stephen was also suspicious of his parents’ decision to obey the terms of the note and not call the police to report Jennifer missing for three days. However, they failed to transfer money into her account, as the note also demanded.
He also learned from several extended family members that they weren’t told of Jennifer’s disappearance until seven years later.
Ron and Margie Pandos both adamantly deny that they had anything to do with Jennifer’s disappearance. The James City County Police said in the docuseries that they are not looking at Ron and Margie as suspects.
