Master auteur Robert Altman will be honored with a special career spanning retrospective, including masterpieces like M*A*S*H, The Long Goodbye, California Split, 3 Women, The Player, Gosford Park, McCabe and Mrs. Miller, and his swan song, A Prairie Home Companion. The retrospective will include twelve of his films and discussions, focusing on the indelible mark he left on cinematic history. From the innovative audio crosstalk that would become a hallmark of his work to the carefully quotidian elements of a backstage drama, Altman was like no other. Remarks Kneedler, “He transformed the landscape for filmmaking in so many ways. Ask any filmmaker working today from Paul Thomas Anderson to Gillian Robspierre about his influence on filmmaking. He changed everything that came after him.”
