Kristen Bell announced her departure from Apple TV’s Central Park to allow the biracial character Molly to be recast. Show’s creator Loren Bouchard addressed the casting in January, telling Variety he considered a biracial voice actor but ultimately “couldn’t not make [Kristen] Molly.”

David Herman in Bob’s Burgers
Also created by Bouchard, Marshmallow, a Black, trans woman, has been voiced by actor David Herman for the past nine years. After the announcement about recasting Molly, Twitter users urged, “Now do the same for our girl Marshmallow” and Bouchard responded: “Yes. On it.”
