Sling Blade: Doyle Kicks Everyone Out
At the end of a long night of so-called band practice, Doyle (Dwight Yoakam) decides to kick all of his bandmates out of the house along with Carl (Billy Bob Thornton) and Vaughan (John Ritter). His bandmates make grumbling remarks as they begrudgingly leave — “This ain’t right, Doyle,” says Monty (Mickey Jones). But when Doyle demands again that Vaughan and Carl leave, his girlfriend Linda (Natalie Canerday) — backed up by her son, Frank (Lucas Black) — reminds him that it’s her house, not his, and she’ll decide who stays and who goes.
