The Godfather Part II: Kay Tells Michael She Had an Abortion
One of the most gutting and masterful scenes in The Godfather Part II occurs when Kay (Diane Keaton) informs Michael Corleone (Al Pacino) that she wants a divorce. He assumes that she blames him for her miscarriage, but he’s wrong — Kay tells him it was actually an abortion and that she refuses to bring another one of his sons into the world. Pacino goes full nuclear on her in one of his most terrifying performances.
