Stephen Deuters’ Texts Accusing Johnny of Kicking Amber

Amber Heard during the 2022 trial

At the end of the third and final episode of Depp v. Heard, the doc revisits some information that came out after certain documents submitted as court evidence were unsealed to the public. These documents had been submitted as evidence for the 2022 trial but were sealed by the judge, who made the decision not to show them to the jury.

One of those documents is a text exchange between one of Depp’s assistants, Stephen Deuters, and Amber Heard in May 2014. The contents of the texts support Heard’s accusation that Depp physically abused her on a plane ride to Boston by kicking her in front of their friends.

“Look, he thinks ‘he doesn’t deserve this’. Obviously, he has no idea what he did or to the extent that he did it. If someone was truly honest with him about how bad it really was, he’d be appalled. The man Johnny is would be humiliated. And definitely wouldn’t say to me that he doesn’t deserve it. I’m sad that he doesn’t have a better way to really know the severity of his actions yesterday. Unfortunately for me, I remember in full detail everything that happened,” Heard wrote in her text.

“It was disgusting. And he knows it. He was appalled. When I told him he kicked you, he cried,” Deuters replied.

Again, Depp denies every physically abusing Heard.
