Amber Heard Really Did Donate Some of Her Divorce Settlement to Charity

One of the most memorable moments that Amber Heard had on the witness stand was when she was asked about an appearance on a European talk show on which she claimed to have donated her entire $7 million divorce settlement to two charities — the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles and the America Civil Liberties Union (ACLU).

When Depp’s lawyer Camille Vasquez cross-examined her, she questioned whether Heard had actually sent any of the money to those charities in an attempt to catch Heard in a lie and to demonstrate that she wanted Depp’s money.

The second episode of the doc shows monetary receipts that appear to show that Heard had donated at least $1.3 million to the ACLU by 2018. According to the doc, the organization confirmed that Heard had donated $1.3 million of her total pledge to pay $3.5 million over the next ten years.

The Los Angeles Childrens Hospital also confirmed that Heard had donated $250,000 of her $3.5 million pledge as of 2018.
