7. Matt Damon (Cameo as an Actor Playing Loki, Starting in Thor: Ragnarok)
Matt Damon alternates between smart tough-guy action roles (the Bourne franchise), searching emotional exercises, and critical explorations of American exceptionalism. His long avoidance of the MCU seemed like a statement, of sorts — a protest of both comic-book movies and the simple-mindedness they’re often accused of propagating. So his momentary drop-in to a Thor movie, in a completely unnecessary and insignificant cameo, felt all the more left-field and fun.
