4. Be the Ultimate Team Member

You cannot make this project alone [provided of course you’re not setting up a single shot, hitting record and running around the front of the camera to perform…but if you are – you’ve got bigger issues. Please don’t make that movie]. Your team is your life raft. Respect them for what their specialties are. Know what you want and communicate that clearly to them. Listen to their ideas in return. Collaborate with them. Honor the fact that you’re asking them for a lot of work on little money and value them for the professionals they are. And for goodness sake, feed them good food. They deserve better than a subway sandwich and a bag of chips.
