The Short Circuit Traveling Film Festival seeks to introduce audiences to outstanding short films by Southern filmmakers living in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. Short films selected for the 3rd Annual Short Circuit Traveling Film Festival will travel throughout the region in two formats: (1) as a self-contained film festival that may be screened over the course of a single afternoon or evening, and (2) as the “opening acts” for the filmmakers touring on the 2009-2010 Southern Circuit Tour of Independent Filmmakers. Each short film will be paired with one of the touring filmmakers as his or her opening act. Filmmakers whose works are selected for Short Circuit will each receive a $300 honorarium.
