Project Twenty1 began in 2006 as a Filmmaking Competition, giving filmmakers 21 days to make short films. Why 21 days? Two reasons:
1) To keep the focus on making a film well, not just making one quickly.
2) To allow animators to compete on equal footing with live-action filmmakers.
In addition, we present the Philadelphia Film-A-Thon, which features the best of the best short and feature-length independent films submitted from around the world. In addition to our October festival, we host film and community events and screenings year-round.
