Know Your Audience
Who is the audience for this film? Pretty often the answer is simple: someone like you. What made your blood race and your heart sing to tell this story? And if you had never heard of your movie, what would make you excited to watch it? Chances are that you know your audience because you are part of them too. Go back to the source and speak to your audience in the language that made you excited to begin with.
