“Don’t Rain On My Parade” by Barbara Streisand (Season Five, Episode Nine)
Following a high school rivalry with fellow glee member Rachel Berry, Santana escalates the competition by auditioning to be Rachel’s understudy in a performance after high school. Singing Barbara Streisand’s “Don’t Rain On My Parade,” Rachel’s anthem throughout the show, Santana one-ups her frenemy and lands the role.
Rivera later revealed the significance of this performance in an interview. “It was funny because going into it I didn’t think I would love it, but then it ended up being something special to me,” she said.
“Back to Black” by Amy Winehouse (Season Two, Episode 21)
Auditioning for a solo performance for the national show choir competition, Santana proves her range in another striking Amy Winehouse performance.
