Lee and Carter in Rush Hour

Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan start out at odds with each other in the first 1998 Rush Hour movie, but this iconic movie duo blossoms into a beautiful friendship between two cops from different walks of life.

At first, Tucker’s character Carter, an LAPD detective, resists being assigned a partner when he meets Chan’s Lee, a detective for the Royal Hong Kong Police Force. But soon they realize that they make a great pair, and together, they rescue Chinese consul Solon Han’s daughter, who has been kidnapped.

We love an enemies-to-friends journey, and these two characters have that perfect opposites attract energy. With each possessing special skills and unique personalities, they really compliment each other in the best ways. So much so that they made three more movies in the Rush Hour franchise.
