Directed by Justin Simien, Bad Hair is set in 1989, following the story of Anna Bludso (Elle Lorraine), an ambitious woman who is pressured to give up her natural hair and get a straight, flowy weave in order to succeed in the entertainment industry. But she soon realizes that something sinister lurks in her new tresses. This movie also stars Lena Waithe, Laverne Cox, and Simien.
