Jake LaMotta (Robert De Niro) finally snaps on his brother Joey (Joe Pesci) in this iconic scene from Raging Bull. Convinced that Joey has slept with his wife Vicky (Cathy Moriarty), Jake interrupts Joey’s dinner with his family by storming into his house and immediately tackling him to the ground. The fight between the two brothers had been simmering ever since Jake started questioning Joey about why he got into a fight with Salvy (Frank Vincent) at the club, suspecting that it was over Vicky.
When Joey refuses to tell him what happened, Jake begins to come up with scenarios in his mind. This scene is the defining moment in Jake and Joey’s relationship, and they don’t speak for years afterward.
