Gosling’s lines are notably sparse as a stunt/getaway driver who falls for his married neighbor (Carey Mulligan) in Nicholas Winding Refn’s 2011 crime drama Drive. In fact, his character doesn’t even have a name. He’s just called “Driver.” But if there’s anyone who can charm an audience without saying anything, it’s Ryan Gosling.
