Ultrahigh Resolution: RED Raven Camera Kit

At a price of nearly $15,000, this RED camera setup may be beyond the reach of an upstart filmmaker, but if you can get your hands on one, it’s a massive leap forward to elevating your directorial arsenal.

The Raven kit starts with its 4.5K BRAIN, and from there attaches a lens, LCD touch monitor, 120 GB of digital storage, and a dual battery system, as well as an outrigger handle and heavy-duty case—all of which work to capture hyper-reality in all its digital glory.

RED’s new Raven provides the highest resolution in virtually eve-ry situation. It captures motion and stills in 4.5K Full Format at up to 120 frames per second, or 2K Full Format at up to 240 fps, while providing a cinema-grade dynamic range.
