Jaws 2 (1978)

Jaws (above) is a perfectly paced, completely immersive thriller that locks you into its powerful, well, jaws and doesn’t let go. It’s often imitated, and with good reason — it’s one of the best movies ever made.

Jaws 2 is also fun, but is not one of the best movies ever made. Abandoning the grounded realism of Jaws, it climaxes in an absolutely ridiculous shark execution that is equal parts ridiculous and awesome.
