District 9 continues to attract audiences; the Peter Jackson-produced thriller landed in the number four spot with $10,700,000 and could easily reach the $100 million mark within the week.
The top five was rounded out by G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, earning $8 million for a total gross (so far) of more than $132 million.
