Deceptively Simple Characters: The Righteous Gemstones, like many Coen Brothers movies, starts with stock, seemingly cliched characters we think we already know: cowboys, stoners, lovers on the run. The seemingly uncomplicated Gemstones are just our entry point into a twisting, grotesque, Coen-esque saga that takes us to places we would never expect.
