Portrait of a Lady on Fire (2019)

Written and directed by Céline Sciamma and starring Noémie Merlant and Adèle Haenel, it tells the story of a lesbian love affair between a painter and her subject. Of course, they can’t be together, but they begin a sensual relationship anyway.

Full of longing and heart-wrenching moments, this movie will make you believe in true love, even if its subjects are pulled apart by fate.
