Number 10: ‘The Andrea Doria’

Jerry takes on Newman’s mail route so that Newman can hopefully get transferred to Hawaii. It’s fun to watch Jerry don a postal worker outfit and deliver mail. But what kicks this episode into the top 10 best Seinfeld episodes is how well it serves Elaine and George.

Elaine’s story is a microcosm of her strengths as a character, as she gets increasingly aggravated with her experience dating a “bad breaker upper.”

George, meanwhile, is able to win over the board for an apartment — and get their thumbs up over the survivor of a shipwreck — basically by telling stories of previous Seinfeld episodes.
