Who: Writer of both films and video games whose script Static took home the Drama, Sci-fi and Enderby Entertainment Awards at AFF 2016.
What are some of the biggest lessons you’ve learned?
If you work with producers, directors and executives who have the same taste as you do, it’ll work out, because you’re all trying to find the same kind of story. If you work with people who have tastes that don’t align with yours… it’s gonna be a bumpy ride.
What are you working on right now?
Writing a feature with fellow up-and-comer Matthew Dixon, set inside a nuclear missile launch control center at the end of World War III. Finishing post on a proof-of-concept for an indie romance I wrote and am directing, in the vein of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

Conspicuous by their absence are such stellar screenplay writers as Buck Henry ("The Graduate"), Robert Downey, Sr. ("Putney Swope"), Penny Lane (Nuts")and Ben and Dan Barnz.
Congratulations to all these writers! Knowing Ben Synder, who has worked with me on a scripts, I want to particularly congratulate him and Ari Lssler for achieving this endeavor in the 'Storyworld' of Cinema!

Very inspiring stuff. Loved to learn how these guys and gals got their big breaks, especially those who had little to no contact in LA. Sort of inspiring, and it kind of makes you forget, if only for a moment, that many screenwriters work less than minimum wage. There's hope!
