More Paul Mescal, Please: The Normal People and The Lost Daughter star — and boyfriend of soft goth alternative music icon Phoebe Bridgers — is in a new Cannes hit film called Aftersun, and it’s just been acquired by A24, according to The Hollywood Reporter. It’s the directorial debut of Charlotte Wells and it also stars newcomer Frankie Corio. The film takes place in the late ’90s, finding a young father on vacation in Turkey with his daughter while also looking back on their relationship as adults 20 years later.
The Gray Man Trailer: Ryan Gosling sizzles in the trailer for his new action-packed Netflix spy-thriller The Gray Man. He plays Six, an ex-con hired by the CIA to do their bidding as a hitman. But suddenly, he finds himself on the run from a whole bunch of other hitmen, including one particularly deranged, mustachioed Chris Evans. Watch the trailer below, and look for it in theaters on July 15 and on Netflix July 22.

God Bless the Fangirl: Gia Coppola, maker of delicious orange wine, granddaughter of The Godfather director Frances Ford Coppola, niece of fellow director Sofia Coppola, and cousin of Nicolas Cage, is directing a documentary about fangirls of boybands. It’s called superfans: screaming. crying. throwing up. (Yes, it’s all lower-case on purpose.) Coppola is also producing it for entertainment studio XTR as well as Jason Bateman and Michael Costigan’s Aggregate Films through her company Detour, according to Deadline. It’s based on a book by journalist Maria Sherman called Larger Than Life: A History of Boy Bands from NKOTB to BTS.
