Joshua Hardaway (Derek Luke) and his fiancée, Linda Holmes (Ion Overman), are assistant district attorneys in Atlanta watching a videotape of Mable Simmons, a.k.a. Madea (Tyler Perry), whose antics have kept the police busy for years. And now the crazy old woman is up in front of the judge again, with Linda there to prosecute. Joshua’s case concerns Candace Washington (Keshia Knight Pulliam), charged with prostitution; but he turns it over to Linda because he knows the girl. Linda feels he knows her too well, and gets very upset about it. Meanwhile Madea, who had been released on a technicality, is back again for destroying a customer’s car in the Kmart parking lot. And this time she’s sentenced to five years. Candace is there too, having received 17 years for her crime. That’s an outrageous sentence for her misdeed, and Joshua finally finds out why. Perry has put together another interesting plot and a moral lesson.
DVD Extras: Featurettes (“Madea Is Back,” “Looking for the Big House,” “You Have the Right to Remain Silent!,” “Bringing in the Heavy Hitter,” “Madea’s Crazy”)
