DVD Release: February 10, 2009

PG-13; 97 minutes

Adrienne (Diane Lane) is estranged from her husband (Christopher Meloni), who now wants her back. Taken by surprise, she tells him that she’ll discuss it when she gets back from taking care of the inn owned by her best friend, Jean (Viola Davis). It’s off-season on the North Carolina island, and there is to be only one guest: Dr. Paul Flannery (Richard Gere), who will stay four nights before traveling to Ecuador to rekindle a relationship with his son (James Franco). On the first night, they get acquainted. On the second day, they learn more about each other, and we learn why he came to Rodanthe. The third day brings a storm… and not just the hurricane, but the flaring of emotions. And on his last day there… romance. But can their love last? Based on a novel by Nicholas Sparks, it’s the story of two people who teach each other how to be better than they thought they could be.

DVD Extras: Alternate Scenes; Behind the Scenes Featurettes; Gavin Rossdale “Love Remains the Same” Music Video.
