You can only learn from your
own mistakes.

The one lesson I’ve learned over and over again is
that you can only learn from your own mistakes. No matter how much
advice you have before you embarks, you need to learn your filmmaking
lessons in the first person.

Moviemaking is supposed to be hard.

Filmmaking is supposed to be hard. If it’s easy for
you, you’re doing it wrong. You’ll make a better film if you force
yourself out of your comfort zone.
