Things I’ve Learned as a Moviemaker

Monster’s Ball

Faith in the Industry

“In good faith,” that’s bullshit. If anyone ever says
to you to “In good faith, we’ll do this.” No. There’s no such thing.

Life is Short

Try to have a little fun along the way in the process
because life is very short. And it’s very difficult to be in the
film business-or any artistic business, whether it’s music or painting
or anything like that-and I’m just trying to have a little fun.

I could literally get hit by a truck tomorrow. I’m
still learning that.

Movies that Inspire

I like anything that’s telling the fucking truth.
