Sunscreen Film Festival

The Sunscreen Film Festival is an annual film festival that encourages the production, distribution and exhibition of indie movies in Florida. Held by the St. Petersburg-Clearwater Film Society, the festival hopes to raise awareness and support of local moviemaking as an asset to Florida’s culture and economics. Since 2005, the four-day festival has gained popularity and promises to have year-round events, showcase bigger movies and bring in more celebrities. The festival also sponsors several classes and work shops throughout the year, such as Acting for the Screen.
