Sneak Peek: Where The Wild Things Are

Hitting theaters October 16, the long-awaited arrival of Spike Jonze’s sure-to-be quirky and crazy adaptation of Where the Wild Things Are is finally upon us. To celebrate, MM offers a sneak peak at some movie stills, courtesy of Warner Bros.

“Pay Attention!” Max (Max Records) is focused at school, though he’d much rather play with his monster pals.

Max has a strained relationship with his mother (Catherine Keener). Standing on top of the kitchen table in a wolf costume probably won’t help things.

Shadow of a monster: Carol (voiced by James Gandolfini) lurks in the night.

“Mind if we nibble on you?” Don’t worry, Judith (voiced by Catherine O’Hara) and Ira (voiced by Forest Whitaker) aren’t carnivorous… We hope.

A Sunset + Monster Silhouettes = An unexpectedly beautiful scene.

Alexander (voiced by Paul Dano) ponders the meaning of life.

“It’s going to be a bumpy ride!” Max hangs on to Carol for dear life.
