Repo! The Genetic Opera Goes On The Road

Beginning November 10, director Darren Lynn Bousman (Saw II, III and IV) and the star-writer-composer (Terrance Zdunich) of the much-anticipated gothic rock musical Repo! The Genetic Opera kicked off an exclusive road tour, traveling the country for seven days for one-night-only screenings in seven cities (including Portland, Seattle, Chicago, Kansas City, Pittsburgh, Atlanta and Orlando). Each screening is followed by a Q&A with the moviemakers. Other cast members, including Paul Sorvino, Alexa Vega (Spy Kids), Anthony Head (“Buffy the Vampire Slayer”) Bill Moseley (The Devil’s Rejects) and Paris Hilton, may appear as surprise guests.

Repo! The Genetic Opera takes place in a dystopian future in which an epidemic of organ failures devastates the planet. Organ transplants are in dire need but come with a price—those who miss their payments are scheduled for repossession and hunted by dangerous repo men. There is almost no spoken dialogue in the movie, and all the actors perform their own songs. The soundtrack, now on-sale on Amazon.com and iTunes, features songs by artists from bands like Filter, Jane’s Addiction, Slipknot and Guns N’ Roses. The movie opened in select cities on November 7.
