What are you working on right now?

Currently, I’m developing feature film called Nigerian Prince, which is a coming-of-age heist thriller set in Lagos, Nigeria. The film reveals the hidden world of Nigerian email scammers, otherwise known as Nigerian Prince scammers.

What’s the hardest scene or project you’ve ever had to write?

Nigerian Prince was extremely difficult to write, because it took place in a world I wasn’t familiar with. So in order to familiarize myself with it, I traveled to Lagos on several occasions and spent nearly a month living there.

What was a major turning point in your career?

Moving from my hometown in Maryland to New York City was a major turning point for me.

What’s your favorite movie?

I have four: The Thin Red Line, Schindler’s List, Remains of the Day and Michael Clayton.
