It was a monumental night for women directors everywhere when Kathryn Bigelow became the first female director to take home the DGA’s award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Feature Film for The Hurt Locker. It’s an accolade that bodes well for an Oscar win, as the DGA Award and Oscar winner for Best Director have differed only six times since the DGA Award’s inception in 1948.

The night’s full list of winners included:

Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Feature Film: Kathryn Bigelow, The Hurt Locker

Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Movies for Television/Mini-Series: Ross Katz, Taking Chance

Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Documentary: Louie Psihoyos, The Cove

Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Dramatic Series Night: Lesli Linka Glatter, “Mad Men,” Guy Walks Into an Advertising Agency

Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Comedy Series: Jason Winer, “Modern Family,” Pilot
