Don Rickles
Comedian Jim Norton delivers a fantastic impersonation of insult-comic Don Rickles during a 1972 scene where he jokes about getting shot by Joey Gallo. Rickles played Billy Sherbert, a close aide to Robert De Niro’s Sam “Ace” Rothstein, in Scorsese’s 1995 film Casino.
The Don Rickles scene also calls to mind Henny Youngman’s big scene in Goodfellas. (Here’s the story of how that scene was comically botched in one early take.)
