Find the Right Crew
As you move through your career you slowly collect more and more people that can help you do stuff. I love working with people that are pleasant, but you’re always looking for people willing to go above and beyond for a project, and people who understand the tone you’re going for—especially in comedy, where tone is a big part of any joke. Everyone wants to be in on the joke with the work in their department, but sometimes you have to reign everybody in and go “There’s no winking at all here.”
