5. Catch All Sections Of Other Advice

Watch a lot of movies. Read a lot of stuff. Read good stuff, bad stuff, stuff that interests you, stuff that maybe doesn’t… yet. Read books. Read screenplays. Definitely read Adventures in the Screen Trade by the master of both, William Goldman. Have fun. Trust your gut. Don’t talk yourself out of things.  Give yourself a break if you need to. But push yourself to keep going when you’re losing steam. Don’t give up. And perhaps the best advice of all is something we learned from Tommy and Greg in The Disaster Artist: Dreams can absolutely come true in this world—but only if you surround yourself with people who believe in that dream. Find those people and get to work.
