The 2011 Emerging Cinematographer Awards is scheduled for September 25 at the DGA in Hollywood, CA. Founded in 1996, the International Cinematographers Guild’s annual Emerging Cinematographer Awards is dedicated to nurturing talent and providing burgeoning cinematographers the crucial exposure they need to to succeed in the film industry. Since its inception, more than 1,000 short films have been submitted by Camera Operators and Assistants, proving that the ECA’s are indeed a much needed forum for talented up-and-coming cinematographers to express their craft. The winning films are selected by a a panel of judges comprised of ICG members from across the country. Submitted films should be no more than 30 minutes in length.
